UN Transportation Tests

All lithium-battery and accu cells are dangerous goods without exception.
(UN 3090/3091 for lithium batteries, UN 3480/34891 for li-Ionen batteries).

Every commercial transport with those is subject of the regulations of the UNO i.e. UNECE. For batteries assembled from them also a positiv test result regarding UN manual of tests and criteria Rev. 5, Part III, 38.8, the so called UN-transportation-test is mandatory. The transport regulations ADR, ADN and the UN manual for the test specifications can be found at www.unece.org/trans/

The test shall guarantee a safe transport of goods and ensures the product a certain basic safetey and stability by the way. Besides behaviour at overcharge and short circuit above all the safety while vibration, shock, temperature and low pressure is tested.

Your whole product will be viewed in respect of this test and you will receive a detailed consultation. The complete engineering of the battery including the construction, electronics and project time schedule will be made with permanently attention to the final tests. We offer every battery or accu customer to have the UN-test made and certificated by an independent test lab.
